It is a product of Kanai Yu, a writer who is searching for new expressions using clay.
Ephemera refers to temporary printed materials such as postcards and match boxes. It also means that it is short-lived and ephemeral, such as the insect mayfly.
In this series, wrinkled paper parts are combined to form a shape, which is then used to make a plaster mold. By pouring liquid magnetic clay into the mold, the texture of the paper will appear as it is. The momentary expression that paper shows is copied onto a semi-permanent material called magnetic clay.
